Temporary Worsening of your Acne
Mild worsening occurs occasionally; severe flare-ups are rare. It often takes up to two months before you start seeing the acne improve after starting Accutane®.
To prevent worsening of acne, your doctor may start you on a low dose of Accutane® and gradually increase the dose during your follow-up visits.
In the unlikely event of a severe flare, your doctor can take a number of measures to calm it down.
