Mood Changes
Rarely patients may have feelings of depression during Accutane® therapy. There have been rare reports of suicide during Accutane® therapy but they have occurred less than would be expected in the general population. Thus, there does not seem to be a statistical correlation between Accutane® therapy and suicide. Discuss any prior psychiatric history, feelings of depression, or suicidal thoughts with your doctor prior to starting Accutane®. If such problems arise during treatment, notify your doctor immediately.
